Sterling Heights - Play-Place for Autistic Children has launched their annual raffle ahead of April, which is nationally recognized as Autism Awareness Month. This is the local nonprofit's third raffle, and according to Brad O'Donnell, their Director of Development, it's their largest one yet.
"Raffle ticket buyers can look forward to prizes bigger than we have ever had, all thanks to local sponsors and donors such as Eview360," said O'Donnell.
First prize is $1,000 cash; second prize is $500 cash; third prize is a $500 Meijer gift card. A full listing of all 37 raffle prizes are available on their website.
Proceeds from the raffle benefit construction of Play-Place's new 25,000 square foot facility, as well as children's autism programming. Thanks to a generous business sponsor, 100% of all donations made to Play-Place go directly toward advancement of their mission, not to overhead costs such as staff salaries.
Founded in 2011 and the first of its kind, Play-Place for Autistic Children works to provide a judgement-free haven of hope for children and families affected by autism. Play-Place is open to anyone with special needs and their families, regardless of age, cognitive ability, or impairment.
