Play-Place for Autistic Children needs patient, caring, smiling volunteers that love children! Our center is for children and young adults affected by autism and other special needs. This is a community-wide volunteer effort to service the over 8,000 tri-county area families. Choose from a variety of impact projects such as: share your passion for arts & crafts in our Art Studio, guide creative projects in our Lego Room, assist in our Computer Cafe, welcome our families and guests as they arrive or help with the magic of the carousel. Volunteer three to four hours of your time and inspire for a lifetime. Sign up for one shift, multiple shifts or even the same shift each week. We truly value our volunteers for the incredible difference they make in these children's lives!
Play-Place is thrilled to welcome small to large school groups that are coming here for a CBI (Community-Based Instruction)/Field Trip on various dates. Teachers, parents and/or chaperones will be with the students as well. We need your big smiles, fun attitude, and assistance with general and planned activities with these students. We will go over any specifics prior to the group arriving. If you are available and would be willing to join us, we would truly welcome your help with this very important endeavor.
